Michael J. Blackburn

Michael J. Blackburn, age 25, of Chicago, IL and formerly of Perrysburg, OH, died suddenly July 28, 2003 in Raleigh, NC. Mike was born in Columbus, OH on July 27, 1978 to F. Alan and Jacqueline K. (Hampton) Blackburn. A 1997 graduate of Perrysburg High School, Mike was the captain of the Perrysburg Golf Team, where he was a four year first team All N.L.L. member. Mike also participated in the high school drama productions. He graduated from Ohio State University in 2002 with a degree in Planning and Events Coordination. While at O.S.U. he interned for the Columbus Blue Jackets. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg. Mike was employed the past year with Johnson Brother's Liquor Company in wine sales in Chicago. He is survived by his parents Al and Jacki Blackburn of Perrysburg, OH; brother, Andy Blackburn of Chicago, IL, sister, Julie Blackburn of Perrysburg, OH; grandparents, Frank (Vera) Blackburn and Jack (Rosemary) Kin, both of Forest, OH. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 1-5 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. in the Witzler Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, OH. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, August 1, 2003 followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Rose Church with burial at Fort Meigs Cemetery.
