So sorry to hear about Mike's passing. What a gentle and kind soul he was. I'm most sorry I was unable to attend the wake or funeral due to the intense heat wave we had, which didn't agree with me. I know he will be missed by all his family and co-workers. It was a pleasure working with him. Will always miss his inevitable smile and positive attitude regardless of the challenges that befell him. God rest his soul.

As I look at all the nice and good things everyone has to say about Mike, I still have a hard believing and accepting his death.
I see all the names associated with Mike, it takes me down memory lane in Niles at St. John´s and NDHS.
Such a great group of friends we all were
Mike was unflappable, he never got rattled and he was even keeled in any situation.
A great athlete in any sport he played in. He could place a baseball or softball on a dime in any field from a batters box.
I was part of a 4 sum that played golf every year with Mike, his brother Larry and another neighbor friend, Jimmy Grady. What will we do now without our wingman.
RIP Cello and I hope to see you on the other side

Our entire family sends their condolences to Mike´s family and friends. Mike did our family´s taxes for many years. He was the best of the best. He was very busy during tax time, but would always take the time to answer questions and catch up. The world has lost a true gentleman.

I, along with my Rotunno siblings grew up with the Calleros on Cleveland/Neva Street and our family friendship has roots of a lifetime. As years passed, I moved to Florida, but maintained my relationship with Mike as my accountant. In 2016, I experienced a divorce and was confronted and overwhelmed with a financial predicament. I will never forget, and will always be grateful to Mike for his unbelievable kindness in helping me deal and get through a very difficult time, giving me spot-on advice to overcome my crisis. He was so right and through his financial recommendations, my once upside-down life turned right-side up! Mike was a hell of a good man, friend and accountant. He treated me as if I was family. So many nice phone calls and great notes on my tax paperwork...a good man and a life well lived...God called him home just to early for us! A sad time for many...a big loss and void to those who knew Mike. During this difficult time, my thoughts and prayers are for Mike and his family.
With God's blessings and much sympathy,

Mike,
Though I lost touch over the years, I can't help but remember the year I played summer basketball league with you and others from NDHS. You were the player / coach willing to share your knowledge.
I also played softball against you and your teams. I don't recall ever winning one of those games.
RIP

Dear Linda, Frank, Paul, Victoria, Theresa, and Family,
As the Director of Alumni Relations Emeritus, I offer you the sympathy and prayers of the Saint Viator High School community. Our hearts go out to you as you begin your journey of grief. We pray for you as you share the stories, laugh and cry, and find ways to celebrate your husband, your father, and the love you shared.
As I read the obituary for this "beloved husband...loving father...cherished grandfather...dearest brother...beloved son" I was reminded of a reading adapted from the Book of Sirach.
"Let us praise an illustrious man,
faithful to his family and friends, strong in his love.
At peace in his heart and his world,
he has left us his good name, and we recount his life of praiseworthy deeds.
A generous man his good works will never be forgotten.
Among his family and friends remains a rich inheritance born of him....
His name lives on from generation to generation.
We gather to sing his praises.
We proclaim his wisdom and love of life all our days."
May God´s promise that life is changed, not ended, comfort you!
May the knowledge that your husband, your father, lives on in your goodness give you peace and hope!
Take care and God bless you with the gifts you most need!
Judith

I am shocked and saddened by the passing of Mike. Mike was always very kind and helpful to me. I loved hearing stories of his family when we would meet quarterly to process the books for Planemasters, where I work. I was so happy to be able to see him and his family take a trip to celebrate his retirement. The joy on his face was priceless. My deepest condolences to his entire family. I am honored to have known Mike! May he rest in peace.
