It was very sad to see Mike's passing. I was lucky to know him at Marquette as the natural leader of our rugby team. I've read that he also led a criminal prosecution team and I'm sure he was an excellent judge as well. Kevin Chopp San Diego

My condolences to Mike's Mother, his siblings and his extended family.

I knew Mike for 42 years. He was one very, very unique person, the stories I could tell. I first met Mike in 1978. Mike recruited me to play Rugby for his team, yes his team. Mike loved Rugby and the resurrection of Rugby as a sport at MU was attributable to Mike's talents and efforts. Mike was very, very funny, a major league practical joker, rock solid as a person and lived with meaning and purpose. I had not seen Mike in probably 17 or 18 years. He showed up at my house in Arizona November 2020. Typical Wolfie, he just appeared. We had a great day talking, laughing and re-connecting.
I learned of his death four months later. It broke my heart.
