Mladen Ristanovic, 90, loving husband to +Ruzica Ristanovic of 42 years, beloved father to Angelina (Philip) Russo and Sava (Sam Rosen) Ristanovic; caring grandfather to Peter Sean, Claudia, and Farrah; dearest uncle to Radisav Jocic and +Ljubiša Jocic; passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021. He was laid to rest on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Saint Sava Monastery, Libertyville, IL. Mladen was one of Chicago's biggest Bears fans. So in lieu of flowers, please donate to the Walter & Connie Payton Foundation (www.payton34.com).

FOR ANGIE AND SAVA- The Kids - it is with immense sadness t hat I just found out (3/19/2021) that your extremely devoted Dad Mladen has left This Earth. Both your parents ADORED you kids and nothing was too much for them. Your mother Ruzica was a remarkable woman of true Nobility who had immense hardships in her Life although brilliant and superbly energetic. I can see her Skinny Self offering some service to the ALmighty since everything was possible but to sit still.

I worked with Mladen at Fontije Grotnes until his retirement. We would share our vacation stories about Sanibel Island, a place he often spoke of. It was a pleasure to work with him, he was a true Gentleman. My Deepest Sympathy to his Family and Friends.

I worked with Mladen for five years at Grotnes in Chicago. We all knew eachother, and we were like a big family. A group of us who had been laid off got together each year at Dino's on Higgins, courtesy of Mladen. Even after I got married and moved out of state, Mladen always called to let me know when the annual shindig was. I met my husband at Grotnes, and he and I attended. It was always such a happy occasion, getting together, reminiscing and catching up. When I first started working at Grotnes at the tender age of 21, I thought of Mladen as so big and imposing, especially with that deep voice. I got over that pretty quickly. Mladen was a teddy bear at heart. Please rest in peace, Mladen.
