Paul, today was the day of your funeral and it was a peaceful day with the procession going from the funeral home to the church. Upon arrival at St. Christina Church everyone exited their cars and watched as the pall bearers were going to take your casket out of the funeral car and carry it into the church. Well much to everyone's surprise the door could not be opened on the funeral car to take you out. We all laughed, we just knew you didn't want to get out of that car. One half hour later the door was able to be opened and we proceeded with a beautiful mass. You left us all with a smile because this was your unique sense of humor. We all love you so much and you have given us one more unique memory. Love, Joan

Paul, I keep you and your family in my prayers and thoughts. You have been a very studies person. I believe, the other part of life is a new learning experience for us. You will know what to do there. It was my honor to know you and Joan. I enjoyed visiting you at the hospital. Peace!

Paul was a brilliant, stoic man with a heart of gold. I always loved having conversations with him about business and I learned something every time I spoke to him. Paul will always be in my heart. Love, Laurie

Dear Dad,
Each morning I have thought about you and each night I have fallen asleep thinking of you. You were and will still be such a critical component in my day to day decisions. I relied on your wisdom, advice and constant support. You have taught me so much. You taught me to be strong but empathetic by your example. I always felt comforted when you were with me and you didn't have to say a word, it was just your constant calm and loving acceptance. Your sense of pride in our family encourages me always. Thank you for being such a huge part of Paige and Tiffany's lives, you are the most perfect Grandpa.
I will miss you every day will hold you in my heart always. Love, Cher

Our love and prayers are with the Hincks' family after the passing of Mr. Hincks. We loved visiting with Mr. Hincks at all the parties over the years at Cheryl's house. Mr. Hincks always had a smile on his face was warm and friendly. He asked lots of questions and was sincerely interested in our lives. It was like having a second dad. Although Mr. Hincks is gone, we feel blessed to have known him. What a wonderful man who truly enriched our lives. We will miss him very much.

Love, Mike and Sue Glim

Dad I am going to miss you everyday. I will carry with me your love for family and compassion for others. I will miss your dry humor, bad jokes and insightful wisdom. Your joy for reading lives with all of us, you taught us that if you read you will find the answer. You helped guide me through my most difficult times and forced me to have the strength to go on. But mostly Dad your unconditional respect and love, and of course those great big hugs. You have always been such a constant presence in my life I will miss that. Your spirit will always live strong within me. I love you Dad, Susan

His legacy will continue for many years through his children and grandchildren, one of whom I have had the pleasure and honor of knowing and working with. If everyone who knew him carries the love and passion of his granddaughter(s), his memory will live forever! May he rest in peace!

My thoughts and prayers are with the Hincks family. Paul was the kindest, gentlest, most patient man you could meet. We are all blessed to have had him in our lives. He left behind a beautiful family who will surely miss him, but carries on his memory and shares his best traits with all of us.

My grandpa taught me that words are gentle, but powerful; consoling, yet inspiring; and that you should always read others' words when available.

June 20, 2014

We are all so blessed to have met you. You were first our patient, became our friend, and left as part of our family. You have touched the hearts of each and everyone of us on 3 South Oncology unit.
You will be missed.
