Richard M. Abrams, age 83, of Northbrook, IL, passed away on July 21, 2008. He was born on Nov. 2, 1924 in Chicago. He served his country in WWII in the U.S. Army. He was a loving, devoted husband, father and friend to many. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Susan Luerssen (Bill); son, Harry (Helene); stepdaughter, Rhonda Cohen (Craig); sister, Anita Rappeport; sister-in-law, Sally Jacobs; brother-in-law, Alan Jacobs (Avrie); eight grandchildren, Ryan, Molly, Jennifer, Bill, Nicole, Jordan, Courtney and Blake; two great-grandchildren; and five nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Fan Abrams; his late wife, Lois Jacobs; his in-laws, Jack and Hilda Jacobs; his stepdaughter, Wendy Jacobs; and his nephews, Bob Rappeport and Ron Kapson. There will be a private graveside service on Friday, July 25, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights, IL.
