Richard D. Nilson, beloved husband of Jacqueline (nee Carlson). Dear father of David (Beth) Nilson and Melissa Bennett. Loving grandfather of Tony and Cody Raine, Daneye Parsons and Travis Nilson and great-grandfather of Jaxon and Ryleigh Raine. Cherished son of Hazel and the late Herbert Nilson. Fond brother of Robert M. (Nancy) Nilson. Many nieces and nephews. Visitation January 3, 2017, 9 am until time of Memorial Service 11 am at St. John United Church of Christ, 308 Evergreen Avenue, Arlington Heights. I've known Mr. Nilson since I was a young child and he has been a positive influence throughout my childhood and even as an adult with children of my own. He was one of the kindest men I've ever had the pleasure to grow up around and appreciate even more as I grew up to realize the true greatness in his heart. I am truly greatful to him and will always remember him for his cold hands and warm heart! He is and forever will be missed.
