Robert F. Petzold

Robert F. Petzold, 81, of Lawrence, MA and former long time resident of Chicago's Hyde Park community, died March 30, 2006 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. Born in Lawrence, Mr. Petzold earned his bachelor's degree at MIT, his master's at Cal Tech, and studied for his doctorate at the University of Chicago. He worked as a research chemist at Michael Reese Hospital, IIT and the University of Chicago prior to his retirement. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. Survivors include one son, Jonathan Petzold of Chicago; a daughter, Susan Petzold of Chicago; and a sister, Natalie Petzold of Lawrence.
