Robert D. Pickering

Robert David Pickering, 59, of Hinsdale, unexpectedly died with his daughter, Kendall, on December 15, 2020. He was born on March 23, 1961 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a football linebacker for Brecksville High School and the Purdue Boilermakers, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He was licensed as a Professional Engineer in 1993 and owned his own business. Although Bob enjoyed the outdoors - wildlife, hunting, and fishing, Kendall was the center of his life. He was her biggest fan, instilling the value of academics, the qualities of a great athlete, and the importance of good character. They enjoyed vacations and planning her future together. They were inseparable. Bob lived life to the fullest. He was strong and a protector of his family. He was extremely generous, and he made everything fun. Bob will be missed by his mother Joyce Pickering, sister Karen Redell, niece Megan Redell, aunt, and several cousins and friends. We will always love him. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 29 from 4 pm until the time of service at 7pm at Adolf Funeral Home, 7000 S. Madison St. Willowbrook, IL 60527.
