I am saddened to hear about the death of my "uncle Ronnie". He was actually my second cousin, but we always saw him more like my dad's brother and not his cousin. He was kind yet he spoke his mind, and he was one of those relatives I always loved to see. He's home with my dad and my grandpa and I would love to be a fly on the wall as to what they're talking about right now. I'll be praying for you guys because I'm sure you're really going to miss him. May God comfort you at this time, and at any time the wave of grief may hit you over the upcoming years. Peace.

Erin, Sheila, Molly & Family,
You girls I am sure all know how much Ron meant to me personally, He was the BEST Friend a guy could have. I spoke to him in March of this year on what I called Our 30th Anniversary of being associated together. Most people would call it friendship, but I was blessed with knowing a person who treated me more like a son and always made me feel a part of his family. Ron and I traveled together for over 20 straight years doing tradeshows together and seeing this great country of ours. We had some fantastic times together. With my son and brother we four won 3 golf tournaments over a 5 year period in New England. They were very glad we stopped playing it so someone else could win. There are so many other things that come to mind.
Drummond Island Michigan is where your Dad told me to go and have a good time playing golf and for the last 22 years I also have a group of guys that goes every October, just like he did in May each year. It made us both feel connected to discuss those kind of things that we both would do.
I also called him every year for his birthday on October 30th for 30 years. It is a habit I have with only a very few people. He was always surprised that I would remember his birthday. Now this October 30th its going to be hard to not pick up that phone and not make that call.
Ron was a true loving family man and he always spoke of his family and how lucky he was to have them. Always remember that and stay together that way for your future.
May God Bless All of You there and know that I am missing your Dad, My Friend and a part of my own Family is also gone today.
Take care,
Jack

Ron worked for both Acme Industrial Company of Carpentersville, IL and later for Jergens Inc. in Cleveland, OH for 56 years, and was family to all of us. He was the calm voice in a stormy sea always giving direction from a very practical point of view. He loved to talk about business, family, and country.
Since Ron retired, I have missed those set up and tear down times at trade shows, but most of all I miss him at the Westec Show in LA when he would look forward to dinner at the Pantry. After standing in line waiting to get in and be seated, Ron would bark out "just meat and potatoes and you can keep all the green stuff", and we would
all laugh.
I will miss his integrity, work ethic, and his love of friend and family. Good bye, old friend.

Sending love and hugs from all the Nearhoff's (Jeanne, Geoff, Kim and Julie and our families) to Uncle Ron's (the Farrell) family. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers at this sorrowful time. He will always be remember with great fondness and we pray that he and my dad Bill, his childhood buddy, are tossing back a few and playing stickball on the streets of heaven.
