Prof. Moses taught me principles and intermediate in undergrad way back in the mid-1980s. He was my first real exposure to economics, which led to grad school, a PhD, and a long, varied career in academia, government, consulting, and government relations. It all started with that first principles class, in a room with about 200+ students. He was probably the best teacher Iever had.

Ron was the best professor I had in grad school at UIC. I didn't quite know it at the time but as I look back it was the case. I wish I could have said goodbye before his passing. I took him 3 times, the first time I got a C the next time a B and in grad school the A. He said I finally figured out how to do economics. Also he was the absent minded professor, on the first day of grad school I got in the elevator with him and asked are you ready for 2 pm today, he look puzzled, oh is that today, I said yes. he got off the elevator. He must have ran back to his office. It was not his most stellar lecture, but proves that he was truly great. I miss you Ron.

Ron was an inspiration to me as a student. I have thought of him often and just did a search and am so sorry to hear of his ealry passing. We had many spirited discussions and we did not agree on many economic philpsophies and he never gave me over c grade but I treaured his freindship and believe he had a huge infuence on my success in my business and in life.
