JANICE Bad Heart Bull

November 29, 2010

My name is Janice Bad Heart Bull (Swick/Clay). I was in Ryan's life in the 80-90's. He was a great kid. I still see that sparkle in his eyes and the warming smile. I'm sorry I just read about the accident on the internet today, since I've been on the westcoast for over 15 yrs. My heart really goes out to Ryan's family I know how hard this is for them.

Jameelah,

My name is Kevin Cariato, and I loved Ryan as a son. I am the Chicago Police Officer who arrested Ryan when he was 16 for running away, only to have him come live with me for years. I own a shipping company and have been out of the country for the last 12 months, and horrifyingly just found out about my boy last week.

I am completely devastated, and my heart goes out to you, the children, and his family.

Ryan had a smile that would make you melt, and a heart of gold... I will miss him everyday of my life, and I am a better person for nowing him.

Contact me for ANYTHING, or ANYTIME if I can help in anyway.

To all the friends and family of Ryan, my deepest sympathy. I only knew Ryan briefly in his teen years (through his father Joe) and he was very sweet and charming. I can see he became a wonderful young man. I'm so sad to hear of this.

Ryan holds a very special place in my heart. I have only known him
a little over a year, but I have many memories that i will cherish always. I was fortutate to have spent his last weekend with him and to beable to share my last memory of running around the apartment sunday night with his roomates/friends having a watergun fight. I can still see his smile and hear his laugh. walking into that apartment will never be same. This is truley a huge loss to everyone who came into contact with Ryan. I am glad I was able to meet all his friends and family at the services and memorial. Everyone meant so much to him. He was absolutely a terrific father. He never stopped talking about his kids and they are so beautiful just like him. Jameelah, you were everything he ever said you were and he loved you dearly too, as I'm sure you know. Ryan will forever be in my heart.

I am the mother of Ryan's two children, ages 3 and 5. He was a wonderful father and he kept smiles on everyone faces. I love him so much and I feel blessed for him to have been a part of my life. Even more pleased am I to have been given the gift being able to keep a part of him with me at all times (Our children) It feels so good for the children and I to see how many people are reaching out and sending their condolenecs this way. It definitely helps in the healing process.
