Shannon Murphy Obituary
Shannon E. Murphy, 27, formerly of the Beverly area of Chicago, passed away suddenly on July 9, loving daughter of Joseph, C.F.D (Nancy) and Patricia, nee Clapper; cherished sister of Melissa (Erik) Griggs, Brendan and Mary Claire; adored granddaughter of the late George "Bud" and the late Mary R. Murphy and the late Earl and the late Dorothy Clapper; cherished niece of many aunts and uncles; dear cousin of many. Visitation Tuesday, July 15, from 2 to 9 p.m. Prayer Service Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. from the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, to St. Cajetan Church, 2445 W. 112th St., Chicago, for Mass at 10:30 a.m. Cremation private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to CFD Ignite The Spirit Fund or Alzheimer's Assn. appreciated. 708-388-1300.

They say that time heals all wounds...Not sure how true that is. I can only hope that things are getting better for Shannon's family. She of course will never be forgotten, but hopefully the pain will slowly fade away. God Bless you all and know that you are in many, many prayers.

I only had the pleasure of knowing Shannon over this past year, but quickly she became one of my closest friends. She was unique and beautiful, and my life was better with her in it. I'd give anything to hear her laugh again. I can only imagine the loss felt by those who knew her best. I wish you all the best of luck and resilience through this tragedy. shannon was quite the character (to say the least!). i have many fond memories of hanging out 'wit' her and i haven't been able to get that laugh of hers out of my head since hearing the news. her family is my heart and prayers as they struggle with this tragedy. shay, you will be missed as much as you were loved.
