Sharon Sundene Obituary

Sharon Ann Sundene was born July 20th 1931 and died a peaceful death on March 19, 2015. But of course it is what went on between those two mile markers that is the important part. Sharon raised her family in Glen Ellyn, and worked for many years at Milton Township. Her wanderlust took her to over 60 countries on 4 continents and much of the US. She followed her children, Scott and Michele, down to Austin, Texas, in December of 2005, where she made many dear friends. Here she truly bloomed, and spent the next nine years happily busier than ever. Sharon was whip smart with a sharp wit and good sense of humor, generous, independent, and fiercely devoted to her family and friends, She was a talented gardener who made due with her little yard with the white picket fence. She out witted and out lived two husbands, Arnold Haram and Jack Sundene. As she embarks on her final journey, she leaves behind her daughter, Michele and son-in-law, Gunadhi; her son, Scott and daughter-in-law Lisa; Great-grandchildren Sara and Jacob Gunnlaugsson; her many friends, from the Chicago suburbs and from Cottage Court; her Scrabble, Bunco and Canasta friends. All that is left to say is, "Farewell, Traveler. You are going home."
