Walter Hartung Obituary

Hartung, Walter G. Age 84, of Tinley Park, passed away on January 12, 2015. He joined his beloved wife, Helen Hartung (late February of 2014). Father of Susan (Frank) Penunuri of Oaxaca, Mexico and Walter "Wally" (Judy) Hartung of Lockport; grandfather of Anthony (Noelle Ficarello), Nicholas (Amber Domrose) and Katarina (Phil Ruhbeck) Hartung, Eric (Amber) Wedding and Carol (Evan) Farrimond; proud great-grandfather of 6; brother of the late Werner (Martha), Henner (late Christa), late Helmut (late Bergitte) Hartung, all of Germany. A sixth generation baker from Germany, Walter had attained his Meister Brief. He was retired in 1980 as the owner of the Flossmoor Bakery. He was a member of the BCT Union Local 2 and a member of D.A.N.K. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Visitation Saturday, January 17 from 1:00 p.m. until time of Service at 6:00 p.m. at Heartland Memorial Center, 7151 W. 183rd St., Tinley Park, IL. Private Interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
