Wanda Zbikowski Obituary

Wanda H. Zbikowski (nee Walendzwicz}, was born on April 28, 1920, in Chicago, Illinois. She died peacefully after living a full life of 101 years, on Friday, July 16, 2021, at Highland Park Hospital. Mrs. Zbikowski was a banker for BMO Harris in downtown Chicago for over 20 years before she retired. She worked for the Oh Henry Candy Company for over 18 years before joining BMO Harris. Many from her old neighborhood will remember Wanda and her late husband, Edmund from Ed's Corner Grocery Store, across from Lloyd School on Lamon Avenue in Chicago. Wanda is survived by her son, Edmund R. (Susan) Zbikowski; her grandchildren, Kristen Zbikowski, Edmund J. (Robin) Zbikowski, Thomas M. (Hannah) Zbikowski; and her great-grandchildren, Hannah (Phil) Siudut, Guy, Mick, Jack, and Thomas J. Zbikowski. She will be missed. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 47 years Edmund A.; her grandson, Stephen Zbikowski; and her parents William and Estella (nee Fendrick) Walendzwicz. Funeral services and interment were private.
