Warren was a good friend. You could always count on him as a colleage to respect your point of view in things related to work and most of life, aside from politics. It was his habit to go far out of his way in helping students or friends with a level of preparation and in-depth thought and work that was past what one expected.
He'd worked hard to get his education, and been indefatigable in every position. I knew him first as a management scientist, though when we were building a business curriculum his vision fit best on the Human Resources side, teaching business communications and entrepreneurship among many other things. Warren was a pioneer in communications, stretching traditional curriculum in ways then new. A pioneer in media and audio visual, he saw what was coming with word processing and exerted strenuous effort to get a then more philanthropic Apple to donate facilities for one of the first computer teaching labs on our or any campus. He had a deep respect for students and maintained close mentoring relationships with some that transcended generations. He served well and steadily as Chair of his academic department, and as Administrator of the MBA program for the College off Business at Cal Poly Pomona.
Warren remained faithful for years with a charming wife whose breathing problems persisted through all the things they did in the way of moving and trying remedies. He was proud to have built in the movie colony of Palm Springs and promoted it through his fine photography and website development, just as he shared his and Doris' love of their furry four-legged family in print publications. A lover of contemporary art, he was becoming a collector.

Dr. Warren Weber was an outstanding professor, mentor, colleague and friend. Our sympathy goes out to his family. He did so much for so many to help us become better communicators in the world of business. He will be missed and remembered by those of us that were privileged to have a class from him or share teaching approaches and techniques. Rest in Peace Dr. Weber, rest in Peace.

I was a colleague and dear friend of Dr. Warren Weber for 23 years when we were on the faculty of the Business College at Cal Poly Pomona. He contributed to the teaching and operations of the Human Resources and Small Business Management Department in many ways including serving as Department Head or several years. He was known for his devotion to his students, and his feisty support for causes in which he believed. We remained good friends after we both retired in the Coachella Valley. He will be sorely missed by his friends in the boys night out club, "The Devil's Rejects." Warren overcame many hardships to succeed as a great scholar, a devoted husband, a man of great faith.

Warren was dedicated to his career and to the teaching of students. We were peers at Cal Poly, and I valued his friendship. Unfortunately, I had not seen him for several years. So sorry to hear of his passing.
