BURCHARD "DUTCH" RUTHERFORD STEFFEN JR. Burchard "Dutch" Rutherford Steffen Jr., 84, of Coulee City, WA passed away at home on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. He was born on December 22, 1936 in Oakland, CA to Mabel and Burchard Rutherford Steffen, Sr. Dutch married the love of his life Nancy McKay on April 24, 1959. He attended Trade School for Auto Body Repair and made it his lifetime career for 64 years until he retired in 2015. Dutch was also a lifetime member of the Free Mason, a member of the ECV Chapter 7-11 Pair-O-Dice, and loved bowling. He is Survived by his daughters Kim Pakney, Bonnie Thomson, Kathy Keyes, Renee Barnes, Kim Randolph, and Greta Lynch; his son Tim Steffen, Sr; sister Christine Collins; brother Leon Steffen, fourteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Dutch was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Steffen and parents Mabel (Calhoun) Steffen and Burchard Rutherford Steffen, Sr. Dutch died from a rare cancer within 5 weeks of his diagnosis. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. A service will be held on November 12, 2021 from 1-3 at Eagles Aerie 1940 Mulberry St, Chico, CA.
