Ira Mann McFadden

A Graveside Service for Ira Mann McFadden, 93, a 67-year resident of Oroville, will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 10, 2004 in Memorial Park Cemetery. Ira died Thursday, May 6, 2004 at a local care facility. He was born December 31, 1910 in Leeper, Mo. He married Opal Edna McFadden September 24, 1934 in Greenville, Mo. Ira and Opal moved to Oroville in 1937 then moved to Feather Falls in 1940 where Ira worked for Georgia Pacific. They came back to Oroville in 1965 and Ira worked for Louisiana Pacific, retiring in 1975. The couple enjoyed 64 years of marriage! Ira enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family, eating Jake's Burgers and sitting on his front porch. Ira is survived by his two sons, Vernon and Elvin, both of Oroville; one sister, Ollie Mann; six grandchildren, Jan, Kelly, Leslie, and triplets Darla, Amber and Ryan; and five great-grandchildren, Christopher, Shannon, Sean, Faith and Jaden. Arrangements are under the direction of Scheer Memorial Chapel.
