Kenneth Brent Obituary

KENNETH BRENT

Dec. 12, 1919 to Jan. 17, 2007

Passed away in Chico, following a long illness.

He was always a kind, loving husband, father, grandfather and gentleman.

His wife June preceded him in death. Born and raised in Red Bluff, he graduated from Red Bluff Union High School, and went on to play college football at Taft College. There he met Lydia June Lee, whom he married on Jan. 18, 1941. Their son was born in Taft while Ken served with the Seabees during World War II.

Following the war, the young family settled in Concord, Calif., where Ken began working for Pacific, Gas & Electric Company as a troubleman. The couple's two daughters were born in Concord. After more than 40 years of service, promotions and moves, Ken retired from PG&E in 1985 as the District Electric Superintendent, San Joaquin Division.

After retirement, Ken and his wife traveled all over the world, and celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1991. Following June's death, in 1997 Ken moved to Chico to be closer to his children. Not long after, he met Deirdre McNally. A special bond developed between Dee and Ken.

Ken is greatly missed by his loving partner, Dee McNally of Chico; his children: Kenneth (Sharon) Brent of Orland; Diana (Michael) Richards of Roseville, and Elizabeth (Jerry) Dutton of Meadow Valley; his brother, Robert Brent of Red Bluff; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
