Kevin Chase Obituary

KEVIN CHASE 1963 2015 Kevin Chase died unexpectedly on October 30 while in his shop helping repair a friend's vintage motorcycle. Kevin is survived by his wife and best friend Kathlynn, his parents Pat and Bill, his sister Stacey, brother-in-law Ron and his beloved cousin Michael, as well as many loving friends and animals. All who loved Kevin will miss him dearly. He had a lust for life and boundless energy. Kevin graciously shared his unique sense of humor and remarkable creativity with friends and strangers alike. His passions included backpacking, cycling, mountaineering, Tele mark and back country skiing, long distance motor cycling, metal working and even a brief stint car racing. He was an inventor and artist who loved working in his shop with his dog Lucy and horseback riding with his wife Kathlynn. Kevin was always willing to help those in need and was known especially for his ability to fix anything, the more antique and rare an item, the better he was at giving it new life. He worked to improve the lives of people with disabilities and people who are homeless, therefore in lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Torres Shelter, in honor of Kevin Chase, 101 Silver Dollar Way, Chico, CA 95928. A memorial service will be held at the Grange Hall in Chico, on November 21 at 10:00 a.m., with food and friendship to follow immediately afterwards.
