Richard Dick George Wilson

1940 - 2023

RICHARD WILSON Richard "Dick" George Wilson, 82, of Palermo, passed away March 16, 2023. He was born to Joseph and Alice Mae Hansen Wilson on November 18, 1940 in Oakland, CA. Dick was a Corpsman in the Navy, He was a sheet metal worker for over 38 years. He was member of Sheet Metal Union Local 104, The Hayward Motorcycle Club, and the Weasel's. He will be remembered for loving his children and his motorcycle pals fiercely. He loved to ride his Harley and roller coasters- the bigger the better. Those Harley rides allowed him to escape from his day to day life at home. His sense of humor was infectious. He was brutally honest and to the point when he felt you deserved to hear it. He didn't mind to tell you exactly what he thought. It was a true joy to witness. He was always proud of his name Dick. He felt he earned it and it was a perfect fit. His motorcycle crew lovingly referred to him as "Old Dick". I'm sure "Old Dick" has an opinion right now and is using some of his most favorite colorful words. We were all lucky to be loved by him. Those left to carry on his legacy are his children Mike Wilson (Lori) of Yerington, NV, and Stacy Wilson Ziegler (Steven) of Jonesboro, AR; 3 grandchildren Curtis Wilson (Rachel) of Castro Valley, CA, Alyssa Wilson Gomez (Marcos) of Vacaville, CA, and Greyson Wood of Jonesboro, AR; and a great granddaughter Isobelle Wilson. Unfortunately, he was not preceeded in death by a wife. There will not be any services at this time. His most loved ones were not able to arrange any due to the late discovery his passing. A memorial will be placed in his honor. Please celebrate him with his funny stories.
