SHERRI MIGUEL Sherri Miguel, age 71, passed away May 30, 2022, at her home in Chico, CA. Sherri was born in Vancouver, Washington, on May 10, 1951, to Al and Bertine Gates. She is survived by her husband Jerry, two daughters Christine Mikes (Ron) and Aimee Alarid (Ryan), five grandchildren Kadie (16), Grady (14), Paige (12), Bentley (10) and Colby (8), sister Debbi Mattson and lifelong friend Chris Deter. When Sherri was six, they moved to Chico, and she spent the rest of her life deeply rooted in this community. In 1971, She married Jerry, they recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. She spent her life caring for others and was always ready to lend a hand. She enjoyed writing, cooking, hosting parties and of course spending time with family and friends. Although she struggled with many health issues the last seven years she remained happy and ready with a smile. Services will be held at Brusie's Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Friday June 24, 2022. A reception will follow at the Portuguese Hall, 1401 Broadway St, Chico. In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Sherri can be made to the Compassion Fund at Enloe Medical Center or any charity of your choice.
