Wanda Hurlburt Obituary

Wanda Lorene Hurlburt passed away August 3, 2004 at Enloe Hospital following a valiant 19 year struggle with a debilitating illness. She was born on July 16, 1922 in Fort Dodge, Kansas, an only child to Harve and Dovie Ownes. She was a homemaker most of her life, with a passion for her gardens and flowers. She loved her 100 plus rose bushes and animals. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Loved repeating their antics and antidotes to anyone who would listen. She was a member of the C Street Free Pentecostal Church which she attended as often as her health permitted. She is survived by her loving husband, George; by her son, Jay Carter of Oroville; her daughters, Jean Rice and Kay Brochheuser of Oroville, and Shawna Mangini of Norcross, Ga. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Viewing will be Monday morning August 9, 2004 at 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., followed by services at 10:30 a.m. at Scheer Memorial Chapel, burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

I was too mad and beyond sad when you passed because you left. I never looked for the guest book mom so many years ago. I miss you so much....still.
