Vicki Current Obituary
Vicki Sue Current SACRAMENTO,CA: Vicki Sue Current died unexpectedly, July 2, 2012, at her home in Sacramento, California. She was born February 22, 1943, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to Thoburn Kay and Marie Elizabeth (Spray) Kelley.
Vicki graduated from Chillicothe High School and Ohio State University. While living in Denver, Colorado she was a school teacher.
During her years in Des Moines, she worked as an insurance agent and in marketing and sales for the Metropolitan Club and Star 102.5 radio station.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Kellie Waymire; and her son's father, Mike Current.
She is survived by her son, Anthony Current of Des Moines; two sisters, Kay (Dr. Stephen) Elliott and Carolyn Kelley, both of Clive; her daughter's father, Dr. Jack Waymire of Houston, TX; nephew, Geoff and Mary Ann Elliott; and their children, Stephen and Rosemary, of West Des Moines; and niece, Dianna (Elliott) and Dr. Tom Richardson and their children, John, Daniel and Caroline, of Cedar Rapids.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel where visitation will follow the service. Memorial contributions may be made to YESS, Youth Emergency Services and Shelter, 918 SE 11th St., Des Moines, Iowa 50309.

I was sadden to hear about Vicki's passing. I remember her very well as a class officer and cheerleader. I am happy I got to see and talk to her at our 50th Chillicothe High class reunion. GOD BLESS for In GOD We Trust.

Very saddened to hear of Vicki's sudden death. We were friends from our Western Junior High days and talked many times over our adult years. My family wishes to extend our deepest sympathy to Vicki's loved ones and may she rest in peace.

I enjoyed Vicki as we were growing up in Chillicothe. We took dance lessons together, went to Youth Fellowship at church, and were class mates. I am so sorry to hear of her passing.

I am so sorry to read of the passing of Vicki. I remember our times together in Trinity Methodist Youth Fellowship and her warm smile. I always enjoyed knowing her and her sisters. My prayers are with her loved ones at this most difficult time.
