Brian Morrissey Obituary

Brian T. Morrissey

CHIPPEWA FALLS - Brian T. Morrissey, 54, of Chippewa Falls, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at River Pines in Altoona while under the care of St. Croix Hospice.

Brian was born May 30, 1969, in Eau Claire to Thomas and Nettie (Henning) Morrissey.

He graduated from McDonell High School in Chippewa Falls and UW Stout with a degree in Business Administration. Most recently he was working in sales and marketing for Wenzel Farms in Marshfield, WI.

The outdoors brought Brian peace. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and maintaining his food plots on his property in Lafayette. His hunting and fishing trips with friends covered northern Wisconsin as well as much of the western U.S.

He was always willing to help anyone and was a man of faith who loved the Lord.

Brian is survived by his mother, Nettie; wife, Isis Mondragon; and her children: Roberto, Victor, and Gabe; uncles: Stanley (Karen) Henning of Elk Mound, Vernon Henning of Waterloo, WI, Bernie (Linda) Morrissey of Lake Hallie; and many cousins, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tom, in 2022.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 17, 2024 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel with Corey Malison officiating. Visitation will also begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.

Brian was my next door neighbor. We had many long discussions solving the worlds problems. He also shared his hunting adventures. He travelled a lot for work and I remember one time he came home, jumped out of the car, got on his hands and knees to carefully inspect under the car. It seems that as he was crossing North Dakota he had run over a rattlesnake but he couldn't find the snake so he was worried it might be wrapped around the driveshaft.

He was a friend and will be greatly missed. Condolences to his family.
