Christina Schaefer Obituary

Christina "Christie" Schaefer, 29, of 440 Union St., Eau Claire, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008 in Eau Claire.

She was born March 25, 1978 in Eau Claire, the daughter of Donald and Mary (Lea) Schaefer.

She was enrolled at CVTC in Eau Claire in the AODA program.

She was working at Starrs Sisters Beauty Salon in Eau Claire.

Christie was a very caring and beautiful soul. She was full of love and empathy for everyone and everything.

She is survived by: her beloved dog, "Syd"; her parents, Don (Mary) Schaefer of Chippewa Falls; one brother, Paul (Sherry) Schaefer of Bella Vista, Ark.; two sisters, Rebecca (significant other, Matt Wudy) Schaefer of Milwaukee and Megan Schaefer of Port Washington; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her maternal grandparents, Blanche and Harry Lea; paternal grandparents, John and Eleanor Lawrence; her aunt, Lois Nord; and cousin, Bill Nord.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008 at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to the Humane Society in Christie's name.
