Darlene Morrell Obituary
Darlene Marie Morrell, 82, of Chippewa Falls, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went peacefully home to be with Jesus Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Health System, Eau Claire.
She was born on May 28, 1934, to Albert and Ruby (Rivers) Rasmus in Bloomer.
She was greeted by her Lord and all the saints and angels and loved ones gone on before. We who are left behind shall greatly miss her and shall briefly mourn her loss, but also rejoice that she is at last free from the pain and trials and tribulations of this earthly home and life.
Darlene is survived by her husband of 62 years, James Morrell; children, Steven Morrell, Julie (Pete) Lea and John (Julie) Morrell; grandchildren, Maurita (Nick) Burzynski, Zachary Lea, Jennifer Riepe, Hannah (Matt) Riley, Mitchel, Nick and Parker Morrell; great-grandchildren, Alex, Gabriel and Theodore Burzynski, Jack, Eric and Joseph Riepe, Malachi and Noah Riley; sister, Virginia Rasmus; brother, LaVern (Joann) Rasmus; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2017, at Faith Lutheran Church, 733 Woodward Avenue, Chippewa Falls, with a visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Pastor William Plautz will be officiating. The interment will be in the Scandinavian Cemetery, Town of Woodmohr, Chippewa County.
The visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Faith Lutheran Church, 733 Woodward Avenue, Chippewa Falls.
