Brittney Morrell Obituary

Brittney Michelle Morrell
1986 - 2026
Brittney Michelle Morrell, 39, of Vernon, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 2, 2026. She was born on March 24, 1986, in Manchester, the beloved daughter of Craig R. Morrell and Brenda (Flaherty) Jay.
Brittney attended Tolland High School and Eckerd College. She adored her loving husband, Joseph, with whom she shared 18 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion.
Brittney treasured time spent with her brother Brandon-whether watching sports, taking Disney trips together, or simply enjoying each other's company. She was a longtime waitress at Willington Pizza Too, where she built lasting friendships and touched the lives of many customers and coworkers throughout the years.
A true Disney enthusiast, Brittney loved anything and everything Disney. She enjoyed many family trips to Disney World, which truly was her happy place. She was also an avid sports fan who proudly cheered for her favorite teams-the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and Boston Bruins. Each year around her birthday, she and her husband made it a special tradition to attend a Boston Bruins game together.
In addition to her devoted husband, Joseph Lovell, Brittney is survived by her cherished dogs, Bruschi and Tuukka; her father, Craig Morrell; her mother, Brenda Jay and her husband George Jay; her brother, Brandon Morrell and his wife Kierstyn; her siblings, Jennifer Crawford and her husband Brandon, Brittany Lathrop and her husband Daniel, Kyle Jay and his wife Dorothy, and Lauren and Philip Jay; her niece, Lana May Harris; and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Halstead and Lana Morrell, and John and Josephine Flaherty, as well as her sister, Amber Morrell, whom she missed dearly.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center Street, Manchester, on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at East Cemetery, 220 East Center Street, Manchester, CT, on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
