William Albert Sieber III, 71, of Vernon, formerly of Ellington and Tolland, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on August 24, 1954, in Hartford, Bill was the son of the late Emil and Patricia Sieber. He was raised in Tolland and was a graduate of Tolland High School, Class of 1973.
Bill enjoyed a long and distinguished career as a tractor-trailer driver, working for several trucking companies until his retirement in 2020. Over the course of his career, he drove more than three million miles with a perfect safety record-an achievement he took great pride in. He was a proud member of Teamsters Union Local #559.
Beyond his career, Bill was deeply devoted to his family and passionate about his hobbies. He was an avid antique car enthusiast (collector), and a member of the National Chevelle Owners Association. He loved attending and being a part of local car shows. He also enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson, collecting and restoring antique radios, and spending time at the beach. Known for his contagious laugh and kind heart, Bill was an animal lover and a true friend to all who knew him.
Bill is survived by his two beloved daughters, Kori Sieber Brown and her husband, Scott, of Haymarket, VA, and Victoria Sieber Wilson of Vernon; his cherished grandchildren, Kaila Wilson and her partner, Alex; Jeffery Wilson Jr.; Mason Wilson; Joshua Brown and his partner, McKenzi; Justin Brown; Jason Brown; Jackson Brown; and his precious great-granddaughter, Amelia Brown.
He is also survived by the mother of his children and love of his life, Patti, of Manchester; his brother and best friend, Richard Sieber of Tolland; his sister, Lynn Plack and her husband, John, of Knoxville, TN; his nieces, Emily Valdez and her husband, Anthony; Aislinn Plack; and Desiree Chase; as well as many other nieces, nephews, and cousins near and far. In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his sisters Loreen, Karen, and Sharon Sieber.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bill's life on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road, Vernon, CT 06066. Calling hours will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by Words of Remembrance by his nephew, Adam Minor, at 11:00 a.m. A funeral procession will follow to Wapping Cemetery, 50 Oakland Road, South Windsor.
