Delores Myrtle Evans, 73, of Fall Creek, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls, with family at her side.
She was born on March 15, 1939 to Clifford and Inez (Tubbs) Boggess in Barron.
Delores was a homemaker. She raised her six children on her own and they were the pride of her life. She also did private home care for those in need. Delores enjoyed gardening, especially her many flower gardens. She loved playing bingo, various card games, watching soap operas, and watching the show called Heat of the Night. She played the accordion and she enjoyed Polka music. Delores was outgoing and loved living life to the fullest. Her faith and love of Jesus Christ always came first in her life.
She is survived by: her six children, Sheila (John) Geissler of Bloomer, Tammy Johnson of Fall Creek, David (Rock) Evans of Black River Falls, Laura Evans (Randy Terry) of Eau Claire, Mary Everett of Anoka, Minn., Robert "Bob" (Sara) Evans of Chippewa Falls; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren on the way; three brothers, Darrel (Sharon) Boggess of Cottage Grove, Minn., Ronald (Andy) Boggess of New Auburn, Delman (Charlotte) Boggess of New Auburn; three sisters, Lorraine Sirinek of Chetek, Aryls (Russ) Plummer of New Auburn, Diane (Jerry) DeMars of Chippewa Falls; two daughters-in-law, Bonnie Boggess of Rice Lake, Yvonne Boggess of Chetek; and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Delores was preceded in death by: her parents, Clifford and Inez Boggess; two brothers, Kenneth and Arlyn Boggess; a son-in-law, Jake Johnson; and two grandchildren, Precious and Austin.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, March 26 at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Pkwy, Altoona, with Reverend Robert Hoekstra officiating. Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at New Auburn Cemetery, in the township of Auburn, Chippewa County.
