Doris Ann Biesterveld, 81, of Chippewa Falls, passed into the arms of the Lord after a long battle with diabetes and Parkinson's disease on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire.
She was born March 18, 1923, in Menomonie, to William and Lelace Trewartha.
She is survived by: her husband, Ronald; daughters, Jacqueline (William) Beaulieu of Desert Hills, Ariz., Connie (George Jr.) Schalinske of St. Joe, Ind., and Lori (Mark) Ploederer of Chippewa Falls; granddaughters, Amy, Sarah, Lacey and Laron; grandsons, Garet, Gavin and Macade; one great-grandson, Cody; sister, Carole (Dave) France of Chetek; several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Frank, Charles, Donald and Jay; grandson, Landon Alec Ploederer.
A memorial service for Doris will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4 at North Presbyterian Church, 1516 Birch Street, Eau Claire, with Pastor Gerry Mann officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will be held two hours prior to the service at church.
The Cremation Society of Wisconsin is serving the family.
