Federico Hernandez-Montalvo, age 25, of Stockholm, formerly of Vera Cruz, Mexico, died Tuesday, June 24, 2003, in Spring Valley as the result of a drowning accident.
Federico was born July 18, 1977, in Vera Cruz to Arnulfo Hernandez-Tecpile and Paula Montalvo-Cervantes. He lived in Minnesota for two years and in Wisconsin for one year. He loved to farm.
Federico married Fawn Lemon on April 22, 2003, in Hudson. Together, they had a son, Julio, who was born on May 28, 2003.
Federico is survived by his wife, Fawn of Stockholm; his son, Julio; his father and mother, Arnulfo Hernandez-Tecpile and Paula Montalvo-Cervantes; three brothers and two sisters, Juan (Aurelia) Hernandez-Montalvo of Artura, Minn., Francisco (Amparo) Hernandez-Montalvo of Cochrane, Martin (Elvira) Hernandez-Montalvo of Ixtapaluca, Mexico, Maria Eugenia (Antonio) Hernandez-Montalvo of Tecpantzacoalco, Mexico, and Evarista Hernandez-Montalvo of Tehuacan Puebla, Mexico; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Loyd (Terri) Lemon of Boyceville; brother-in-law, Anthony Lemon of Boyceville; sister-in-law, Rebecca (William) Link of Menomonie; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jeremy Lemon.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2003, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Menomonie with the Rev. Lyle Schulte officiating. Burial will be in Texhuacan Cemetery in Vera Cruz.
A Christian wake will be held on Sunday, June 29, from 4-10 p.m. at the Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and from 8:30 a.m. until time of services Monday at the church.
