He married Patricia Jean Christenson Aug. 2, 1950, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cadott. Glen and Patty lived in Jim Falls, where they raised their 10 children.
In Glen's lifetime he held many different jobs, in early years he sold and repaired furnaces. He was also a mechanic at one point. He worked for Madison Silo Co., where he finally decided to branch off on his own and founded Falls Silo Service. He later obtained Appleton Silo and incorporated the manufacturing of his own staves into his business. In the late 1970s, Glen and son, Mickey, also operated Mickey Scorpion Snowmobile Sales, which was just one of many business ventures between father and son. And always, farming was a huge part of his life.
Upon retirement, Glen and Patty moved to Gordon and fulfilled his lifelong dream of owning and operating a restaurant. McNamara's Pub was established in 1994.
Glen is survived by sons, Douglas and LeRoy "Cobb" of Chippewa Falls; daughters, Tracey (Don Davis) McNamara of New Auburn, Julia (Steve) Babcock of Gordon, Diane (Mike) Berg, Krissy (Brent) Rolfes and Bridget McNamara, all of Jim Falls; and daughter-in-law, Susan McNamara of Midlothian, Texas; sisters-in-law, Connie (Tim) Russell, Linda (Denny) Schoch, Diane (Tom) Baier; brother-in-law, Mark Brand; 21, grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

No one ever walked through the door without being fed, no matter day or night. Growing up with our dad, it was not unusual to sleep on the living room floor because someone needed a place to sleep. It was always a surprise who showed up at the breakfast table.
Glen will be forever missed by his family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 13, at Anson Town Hall, in Jim Falls.
