John Bleske Obituary

John "Jack" Frank Bleske, age 66, of Elk Mound, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.

Jack was born on Feb. 28, 1947, in Eau Claire to the late John and Florence (Nedorski) Bleske, and was raised on the family farm in Chippewa County.

Jack was retired from the Chippewa County Highway Department and had been a volunteer for the Wheaton Fire Department.

He enjoyed fishing, wood-working, riding his Harley and showing off his cooking and grilling skills. He loved to hunt and trap shoot with his buddies - Ralph, Jerry, Bob, Gordy, Jim, and nephew, Scott. He was always willing to help his wife, Carolyn, with her many summer projects. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandson, Jace, riding the "gator" together.

He is survived by: his wife of 45 years, Carolyn; daughter, Josette (Dean) Zwiefelhofer of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Jace and Jadyn; sister-in-law, Ardith Kelly; brother-in-law, Robert (Linda) Kruger; and nieces, nephews and many friends.

Jack is preceded in death by a brother, Bill, and two sisters, Lois and LaDonna.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 20 from 2-6 p.m. at Eau Claire Rod & Gun Club (801 Schoettl Ave.) in Eau Claire. Evergreen Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
