Bloomer - Joyce L. Sahm, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Eau Claire, Wis.
Joyce was born on October 22, 1950, in Chippewa Falls, Wis., to Marshall C. Sr. and LaVonne (Hayes) Sippy. She attended Bloomer High School and graduated with the Class of 1968. On September 28, 1974, Joyce married Richard D. Sahm in Stillwater, Minn. She worked as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor for many different organizations in the area. Joyce loved to get in the car and go for a drive, whether it was near or far, she always had her dog Oreo with too. She could be found attending her grandchildren's events, an occasional trip to the Casino, helping her neighbors, going to Bible study or spending time with family and friends.
Joyce is survived by her sons, James (Karen) Sahm of Eau Claire and Richard Sahm of Hopkinsville, Ky.; grandchildren, Tyler, Amanda, Spencer and Madison; three sisters, Barb Sippy, Brenda (Bob) Rennie, and Jennifer Sippy; six brothers, Henry (Barb) Sippy, Kenny (Julie) Sippy, Randy (Marijean) Sippy, Paul (Nita) Sippy, Marshall (Mary Kvapil) Sippy Jr., and Charlie Sippy; numerous nieces; nephews; other relatives; friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Sahm in 2020; parents, Marshall and LaVonne Sippy; brother, Thomas M. Sippy; and canine companion, Oreo.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., on Monday, November 11, 2024, at the White Pine Pavilion in Bloomer, with a funeral service to begin at noon. Burial will be at the Cleveland Cemetery. Olson Funeral Home and Cremation Center is assisting the family. Online condolences and stories can be shared at olsonfuneralhomebloomer.com.
