Judith "Judy" Block, age 86, of Eau Claire, WI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at St. Gertrude's Health and Rehabilitation Center, in Shakopee, MN.
A celebration of life gathering will be held in Judy's honor on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 2 p.m., at McKenna Crossing in the Community Room, 13810 Shepherds Path NW, Prior Lake, MN. Pastor Ian Hewitson will preside. Memorials are preferred to McKenna Crossing in her honor.
On December 10, 1938, in Eau Claire, WI, Ned and Elvira (Schmidt) Randall proudly announced the birth of their only child, Judith Lee. She found great joy in living a simple life, yet full life. Judy surrounded herself always with family and friends around her.
While working at Uniroyal Tire, Judy met a handsome young man named Delbert Wayne Block. They married on March 4, 1961, in Waukon, IA. They settled down in Menomonie, Wi, raising three children, Julie, John and Jill.
Judy was a devoted mother who supported her children throughout their school and college years. She and Del enjoyed fishing and family vacations, and later, she cherished being a grandmother to Brock. Family was always her top priority. We must not forget the endless companionship and love from her dogs.
Judy and Del stayed active in retirement, volunteering with Meals on Wheels and spending winters in Florida. In 1999, they sold their Menomonie home and moved to McKenna Crossing in Prior Lake, making new friends and having fresh experiences. In her free time, Judy loved playing bridge, knitting, crocheting and taking her chance at the local casinos.
Judy will be remembered for her warmth, sense of humor and deep commitment as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She will be forever loved by her daughter, Julie (Jim) Holte; son, John Block; grandson, Brock Holte; other relatives and friends.
Greeting Judy home in Heaven is her beloved husband, Del, and their daughter, Jill and her parents.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
