ROY, Utah – Michael Patrick Crown, 48, passed away in the arms of his loving family on Saturday, April 3, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mike was born in Chicago, Ill. on Dec. 6, 1961, to Bernard Jr. and Marion McDermott-Crown. He grew up in Northbrook, Ill. and graduated from Glenbrook High School.
Mike married his high-school sweetheart, Sarah Etterley-Crown on March 25, 1988, in Las Vegas, Nev. and shared 32 years together.
Mike had many talents, amongst which included roofing, volunteer fireman, E.M.T. in Chicago, Ill. and most recently co-owned and operated a successful property management firm in Chippewa Falls, selling the business in 2005 before relocating to Roy, Utah.
Mike was a kind and gentle soul who loved his family and friends and being outdoors. Many wonderful memories of little league, basketball, sledding and all of the wonderful camping trips. He was an amazing father and grandfather who will be missed.
Mike is survived by: his wife Sarah; his children, Michael (Amy) Etterley-Crown, Kellie Crown and Meg Crown; two grandchildren, Austin and Audrey; four brothers; five sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 9 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 5560 South 2300 West, Roy, Utah.
Interment will be at a later date in Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mike's name at any America First Credit Union.
