September 20, 1947 - July 19, 2025

CHIPPEWA FALLS - Ronald P. King, 77, of Chippewa Falls, town of Wheaton, died Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Health Clinic in Eau Claire.

Ron was born September 20, 1947 in Chippewa Falls, the son of Donald W. and Eileen (Reim) King. He served honorably in the U.S. Army.

Ron worked for REB Translab in Menomonie for many years.

On June 13, 1981, Ron married Mary S. Chovan at Holy Ghost Church in Chippewa Falls. He was a member of St. Bridget's Church.

Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his side-by-side in the woods, going to antique gas engines shows, and cutting wood. He loved the outdoors, but cherished spending time with his grandson. He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather.

Ron is survived by his wife, Mary; one son, Austin (Katelyn) King of Chippewa Falls; his mother, Eileen King of Jim Falls; two brothers, David King and Dale (Patty) King both of Chippewa Falls; two sisters, Shirley (Wayne) Gormley of Chippewa Falls and Barbara (Bernard) Flackey of Bloomer; and one grandson, Emmett Stephen King.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Donald W. King.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 24 at St. Bridget's Church in the town of Seymour. Rev. Daniel Sedlacek will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Chippewa Falls. Military rites will be conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 23 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, at the church. There will be a Christian vigil service at 7 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
