CHIPPEWA FALLS - Sandra Jean Walters, 84, of Chippewa Falls, Wisc., passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, at St. Mary's-Mayo Hospital in Rochester, Minn. after a brief illness.
Sandra was born in Chippewa Falls, Wisc., on January 23, 1941, to Timothy and Ina Lavigne.
Sandra cared for many children throughout the years, working at Nestle's and finally Mason Shoe Manufacturing until her retirement.
She enjoyed being surrounded by family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Traveling to warm places during cold winter months with Chuck was enjoyed as well. Celebrating family and life events were very important, often putting everyone's needs before her own.
Sandra gave birth to the first triplets born at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls, Wisc.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Charles Walters; daughter, Kim (Ran) Stanford and sons, Tim Walters (Cathy Morris) both of Chippewa Falls, and Tom (Jeana) Walters of Rice Lake; seven grandchildren, Ashlee (Chris) Bergerson, Darcie Marks (Tom Kabat), Stephani (Kurt) Staats, Eric (Danielle) Walters-Larsen, Corey (Brooke) Walters, Nicole (Dan) Oxley and Tyler Walters; 11 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Aubree, Amelia, Ethan, Colton, Kennedy, Brigham, Macy, Parker, Hayden and Rylan; a sister, Pat (Jerry) Gullickson; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Terry Walters; parents, Timothy and Ina Lavigne; as well as stepfather, Charles Dehler.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
