Steven L. Berg, 64, of Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013.
He was born April 25, 1949 in Chippewa Falls to Joan (Jerrold) and Clarence Berg. He graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1967 and then attended UW-EC.
Steve served in the U.S. Army National Guard for eight years.
During high school, Steve worked at the SuperValu Grocery Store in Chippewa Falls. Following high school and college, he continued working there and was transferred to the Rice Lake store as the store manager. During this time, he met Kathy, and the two married on July 1, 1983 at the Newman Center in Eau Claire.
Steve later moved back to Eau Claire, where he worked as a broker for Baird, and later for Dain Bosworth. He then worked for Country Jam for more than 20 years, retiring in 2009 as a partner in the business. He made many wonderful friends through the business and enjoyed his time working with them. He will be dearly missed.
Steve was a great man that loved his family, making many sacrifices for them. He touched and changed many lives through his love of people. These traits of generosity and understanding will be cherished as an example to live by for those of us that remember him so fondly.
