Thomas Hickey Obituary

CADOTT – Thomas "Tom" E. Hickey, 46, of Cadott passed away suddenly Thursday, June 23, 2011 in the Town of Lafayette.

He was born on Oct. 2, 1964,  the son of Dayton and Ruby (Sockness) Hickey. Tom grew up in the Town of Sigel and attended Cadott community schools, graduating in 1983. He then attended college in Ladysmith. He farmed on the family farm and also operated Hickey Small Engine Repair and was currently employed at Mulehide in Cornell.

Tom enjoyed the opportunity to raise Keegan and Kealy and loved every minute being with his grandchildren. He loved playing blackjack at the casino.

Tom is survived by: his beloved fiancée Sandi Watson and her children, Amber (Miccolby) Brown, Joshua Watson and Alec Watson; his grandchildren, Keegan, Kealy, Ana, Eric, Aja and Ara; father,  Dayton Hickey; sister, Diane (Bruce) Ewings; a nephew, Bruce Ewings Jr.; and by several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by:  his mother, Ruby Hickey.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott. Casual attire is encouraged.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
