Warren J. Dressel, 90, of 320 E. Colome St., Chippewa Falls, village of Lake Hallie, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the Chippewa Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation in Chippewa Falls.
He was born Aug. 6, 1921 in Chippewa Falls, the son of Albert and Mathilda (Annen) Dressel.
Warren was a sergeant in the U.S. Army.
In 1944, he married Lorraine Christenson. He was a car salesman for 38 years with Weigand Sales Co. Inc. in Chippewa Falls and was a member of Ford's 500 Club, American Legion Post #77, Old Goats Club and Christ Episcopal Church.
Warren is survived by: two sons, Rodney (Edith) Dressel of Middleburg, Fla., and Gordon (Belinda) Dressel of Eau Claire; one daughter, Janet (David) Hodowanic of Magnolia, Texas; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his wife Lorraine on Nov. 23, 2009; one daughter, Judy Denninger, on Feb. 14, 2012, and her husband, David; and his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 30 at Christ Episcopal Church in Chippewa Falls. Rev. Eleanor Michaud will be officiating. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery in Chippewa Falls. Military rites will be conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at Christ Episcopal Church in Chippewa Falls.
