William Frederic Bischoff, III, 72, of Holcombe, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at the Chippewa Manor.
He was born on Oct. 2, 1938, in Grand Rapids, Minn. to the late William F. and Inez (Waldron) Bischoff, Jr. Bill graduated from Fargo Central High School and went on to serve his country in the Navy.
Bill was self employed in the hospitality industry. He proudly served 50 years as Master Mason in the Grand Lodge of Minnesota and actively participated in the local Shriner's Mini Model T Club raising money for the Children's Shriner's Hospital. On March 9, 1985 Bill was united in marriage to Betty Frettem.
Bill is survived by: his children, Bill Bischoff, IV of Duluth, Minn., Brad (Wendy) Bischoff of Chippewa Falls, BethAnn (Scott) Paulson of Superior and Brian Bischoff of Barron; his step-children, Chuck Bischoff of Duluth, Minn., Scott (Kathy) Waterman of Eden Prairie, Minn. and Nancy (Brian) Loeppky of Maple Valley, Wash.; his grandchildren, Brady Bischoff, Ryan, Jaycie, Amanda and Katie Paulson; his step-grandchildren, Chuckie Bischoff, Janna Loeppky, Stephanie and Bryan Waterman; and one sister Bonnie (Dale) Jenson of Blaine, Minn.
He is preceded in death by: his wife Betty ('06); and his parents.
A celebration of life will take place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16 at the Plombon Funeral Home in Stanley. A reception will follow.
