Bessie Mae Radford Ladd, 86, Hopkinsville, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025, in Hopkinsville, KY. Bessie, the daughter of the late Jennie Radford and Robert Lee Radford, was born on May 16, 1939, in Trigg County, KY. Bessie was a member of St. John Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, Tyler Perry movies and TV shows, gardening and planting flowers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her children, Michael Ladd, Vickie Bradley, Jennifer Blackmon-Matlock, Jabir Al Bari, Darnell Ladd, and Spencer Ladd; Siblings, Leroy Radford, John "Bill" Radford, and Jenny Williams. Survivors include her children, Stacey Ladd, Robert (Sandra) Ladd, and Jason Ladd; Siblings, Charles (Dorothy) Radford, Elsie Acree, and George (Agnes) Radford; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
