Betty Garrett Obituary

Betty Ann Pearson Garrett, 83, Clarksville, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025, in Clarksville, TN. Betty, the daughter of the late John A. Pearson, Sr., and Cora Lee Hardin Pearson, was born on March 20, 1942, in Rex, GA. Betty was a member of Guildfield Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, spending time with her family, watching game shows and Gunsmoke, and reading her Daily Bread every morning. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James T. Garrett; 6 brothers and 4 sisters. Survivors include her children, Janis Hardy and Steve (Tiffany) Pearson; brothers, John A. Pearson, Jr., and Earl D. (Linda Carol) Pearson; son in love, John "Thurston" Hardy; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
