Georgia Finchum Obituary

Georgia Pearl Farmer Finchum, 88, of Herndon, KY died at 10:18 a.m. Friday, December 13, 2024 at her residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Holland officiating. Burial will follow in Flat Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A native of Christian County, KY she was born May 30, 1936 the daughter of the late Garland Newman Farmer and Emma Elizabeth Lyle Farmer. She was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church in Christian County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Joseph F. Finchum; and her brothers: Emmett Farmer, Garland Edward "Sonny" Farmer, and Dade Farmer. Survivors include her son: Joseph Terry (Diane) Finchum of Herndon, KY; her daughter: Rita Fay Finchum (Joe) Green of Herndon, KY; her sisters: Cheryl (Dallas) Candler and Ruth (Jackie) Farmer both of Hopkinsville, KY; four grandchildren: Kyle Finchum, Chad (Nicole) Finchum, Gabriel Green, and David Green; and two great grandchildren: Tristen Finchum and Jubilee Finchum.
