Sending a to all of Mr. Simmons family and friends. I didn't personally know Chris, but having graduated a few years behind him, I knew of his legend.
I don't think I ever heard Chris's name in a statement or sentence without it being paired with a smile. Mr. Kriese talked of the fun Chis brought to FFA, my brothers have spoken on the strong community he always had around him, and it seems he tried to break every rule he could find. The older I get, the more I appreciate that viewpoint on the world.
Thank you, Chris Simmons, for all that you provided to so many in our little county.
38 is too soon for us, and yet we'll know of this name far beyond this moment.
