SUE BUDD Obituary

SUE E. BUDD Sue E. Budd, 88, of Penn Yan, N.Y., entered unto rest on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Penn Yan Manor. Born on May 12, 1935, in Mt. Pleasant Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Stair and Elizabeth M. Stair Yingling. She grew up in Littlestown, Pa., and graduated from Littlestown High School. She moved to New Jersey, residing in Stillwater for many years before relocating to Blairstown, N.J., for the years from 1974-2000. Upon retiring from Oraton in 2000, she moved to reside in Penn Yan. Sue was a longtime member of Penn Yan Bible Church. She loved the area and the day bus trips that were available in town over the years. She is survived by her sister, Elaine (Ron) Potter of Gettysburg, Pa.; daughters, Kim (Ron) Shuster of Spring Hill, Fla., Lyn (Bryan) Shellhammer of Palmerton, Pa., and Lee Ann Joslyn of Penn Yan; son, Tod Budd of Saylorsburg, Pa.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her son, Roy Budd, formerly of Dundee, N.Y. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 10 - 11 a.m. at Penn Yan Bible Church, 2015 Kimball Rd., Penn Yan. A Celebration of Life service for Sue will begin at 11 a.m. followed by burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Penn Yan. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pen Yan Bible Church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Townsend-Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, Penn Yan.
