Barbara A. Harris, age 83, of Huntington, IN, passed away at her residence on Monday, August 18, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Barbara was born on November 23, 1941, in Hager Hill, KY, to the late Russell M. and Hazel (Osborne) Blair. She married Tommy Harris on August 24, 1963, and he survives and resides in Huntington.
Barbara graduated from Wheelwright High School, Wheelwright, KY, in 1959. She worked at Landmark Realty and Wayne Metals in Markle. She attended Bethesda Freewill Baptist Church in Andrews, IN.
Along with her husband, Tommy, she is survived by two daughters, Diane (Brian) Simon, Huntington, IN; Daneen Harris, Huntington, IN; two grandchildren, Rachel (Aaron) Drummond, Derek (Ashley) Simon; and 6 great-grandchildren, Grant Drummond, Reese Drummond, Reagan Drummond, Remi Drummond, Everett Simon and Meredith Simon.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Gordon R. Blair, Richard Blair, Rolla Blair; and one sister, Velma Daniels.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by an 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service at McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750.
Graveside services will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Donor's choice in memory of Barbara in care of McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750.
